The game itself even supports this notion. There's lots of difficult and fast-paced platforming sections, not to mention the DLC. But there's also plenty of spots where Hat Kid can just take a seat and enjoy the slowed down versions of the soundtrack.

It's wild how music feels to different people. A lot of people just feel pretty much the same thing when hearing this and the normal version. To me, it sounds so incredibly sad, alone and kinda depressing that i wasn't able to listen to this version for years, because i got a heartache from listening to it, reminding me of my own loneliness and seeming inability to make and maintain friendships, even 3 years later. Meanwhile i found a way to deal with it almost completly and now i can listen to this and enjoy it, although still a bit painful sometimes. If anyone reads this and feels kind of the same as i do, i wish you the best in the future and whatever your situation might be, eventually, it will get better, i truly believe that.

One thing I really appreciate about this game is that it doesn’t penalize you for enabling the easier versions (assist and peace and tranquility) I didn’t enable help for the main game, but I’m not good enough at the game to do most of the death wishes on my own, so it’s really nice to be able to get all the same rewards for less frustration and difficulty, not that it’s easy haha I was a fan of A Hat in Time years ago when DanTDM played it, I was a fan about a couple years ago when I watched a full no-commentary playthrough, but I’m an even bigger fan now that I actually have it myself. This made me cry. The nostalgia and feelings evoked from the video were too much to handle. I only found out recently that between my group of good friends, I had been causing a lot of problems. I want to fix my problems but the hate I am getting just makes me want to give up. And to make matters worse, I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am so lost right now. Just remembering the encouraging words from the game screen in the morning or late at night when my depression and intrusive thoughts are at their peak- brings me so much comfort I end up welling up with happy tears. This made me cry. The nostalgia and feelings evoked from the video were too much to handle.
I only found out recently that between my group of good friends, I had been causing a lot of problems. I want to fix my problems but the hate I am getting just makes me want to give up. And to make matters worse, I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am so lost right now. I did not mean to cause any problems. I just need my peace and tranquility.

Really late reply, but while I didn't suffer through depression, I completely understand what you're going through as said issues with friends is happening to me now. I understand how you feel.
Every once in a while, I find this gem and it is always at a convenient time; This is what helps heals wound and empty the mind. Whenever I begin to feel unhappy or upset, I can always count on this to help me pull through.

They have no peace and tranquillity in their life.
All of the peace and tranquility songs and remixes make me so goddamn emotional. Just remembering the encouraging words from the game screen in the morning or late at night when my depression and intrusive thoughts are at their peak- brings me so much comfort I end up welling up with happy tears. I don't have to prove myself to anyone, but I also strive to be as happy and carefree as hat kid!
